Last month's slowdown in house prices, sales, new listings numbers, and buyer demand was evident by a recent chartered surveyors' survey, however, there are signs that the picture is improving over the long term.
Despite the fact that the next few months will be bumpy due to a tighter lending environment, sales volumes are expected to increase over the long term.
According to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, property prices fell nationally last month.
The biggest drops in house prices last month were seen in East Anglia, London, the South East and the West Midlands. However, overall prices nationwide still performed better than February.
Looking ahead, London's 12 month price expectations are currently flat, while those based in Northern Ireland and Scotland see a rise in house values.
